Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Views of English churches and around Ireland including: A ruined church, Cork (illustrated); Newark Church; Grantham Church; Phoenix Park, near Dublin; Kilmainhan Goal sic, Dublin (recto) and Dublin lighthouse (verso); New Shoreham Church; and A fa by John Durrant was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the l Admittedly, works by John Durrant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two studies of Dover boats; A hovelling boat, Dover, used for piloting and mackerel fishing; View from South Shields, the banks of the Tyne at low water and people gathering coals (illustrated); A Ride [sic. packet sailing from Portsmouth to Ride s in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,182.49

Als die Arbeit Views of English churches and around Ireland including: A ruined church, Cork (illustrated); Newark Church; Grantham Church; Phoenix Park, near Dublin; Kilmainhan Goal sic, Dublin (recto) and Dublin lighthouse (verso); New Shoreham Church; and A fa von John Durrant im November 2010 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
