Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Seven English views including: Bo-Peep - near Hastings, a barrack for a Company of Soldiers (illustrated); The White Rock, near Hastings; Berwick Castle; Portchester Castle; Broadstairs, Kent; A windmill near Deal and Walmer Castle; and The Needle Ro by John Durrant was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. Two studies of Dover boats; A hovelling boat, Dover, used for piloting and mackerel fishing; View from South Shields, the banks of the Tyne at low water and people gathering coals (illus
