Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nude by Cami Stone was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,421.07). Other works by Cami Stone have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2007 by the work Nude, 1930s at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,001.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nude von Cami Stone im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.421,07) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Cami Stone wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2007 die Arbeit Nude, 1930s mit GBP 5.000,00 (€ 7.001,29).
