In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Tenth Street Painting C97.6 by Caio Fonseca. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,577.18), 48% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Caio Fonseca have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tenth Street #80 in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,085.25).

Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tenth Street Painting C97.6 von Caio Fonseca zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.577,18) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Caio Fonseca auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tenth Street #80 im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.085,25).
