Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Red Invention by Caio Fonseca. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,274.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Caio Fonseca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tenth Street #80 in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,085.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Invention von Caio Fonseca zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.274,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Caio Fonseca erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tenth Street #80 im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.085,25).
