Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included the work Head Sculpture of an Attendant & The Refinement to Motherland No. 3 by Cai Zhisong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 235,500.00 (€ 20,587.01). Admittedly, works by Cai Zhisong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Custom to Motherland No. 5 in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 151,152.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head Sculpture of an Attendant & The Refinement to Motherland No. 3 von Cai Zhisong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 235.500,00 (€ 20.587,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cai Zhisong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Custom to Motherland No. 5 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.580.000,00 (€ 151.152,90).
