Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Blue Cowboy, Eating by Cady Noland for USD 1,450,000.00 (€ 1,372,846.05). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Cady Noland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bluewald in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 9,797,000.00 (€ 8,911,224.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Blue Cowboy, Eating von Cady Noland für USD 1.450.000,00 (€ 1.372.846,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cady Noland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bluewald im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.797.000,00 (€ 8.911.224,30).
