Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Cady Noland was sold in the The Hoarder Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 73,867.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cady Noland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bluewald in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 9,797,000.00 (€ 8,911,224.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Cady Noland wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion The Hoarder Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 73.867,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cady Noland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bluewald im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.797.000,00 (€ 8.911.224,30).
