Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Untitled (Poem) by C. C. Wang. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,667.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by C. C. Wang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lantern Festival, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,239.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Poem) von C. C. Wang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.667,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von C. C. Wang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lantern Festival beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 38.239,07) versteigert wurde.
