Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Sand Dancer by Byron Browne for USD 1,000.00 (€ 771.72). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Byron Browne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Classical Still Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 143,513.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sand Dancer von Byron Browne für USD 1.000,00 (€ 771,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Byron Browne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Classical Still Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 143.513,20).
