This artwork by Byron Browne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2015. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Head sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,839.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Byron Browne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Classical Still Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 143,513.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Byron Browne erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Head für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.839,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Byron Browne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Classical Still Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 143.513,20).
