Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Byron Browne could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Head of A Young Girl changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,376.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Byron Browne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Classical Still Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 143,513.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Byron Browne konnte im Oktober 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Head of A Young Girl für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.376,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Byron Browne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Classical Still Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 143.513,20).
