Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction FILM, which included the work Twiggy by Burt Glinn. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,051.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Burt Glinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955, which sold at auction in September 2017 for EUR 11,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion FILM durch, in der auch die Arbeit Twiggy von Burt Glinn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.051,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Burt Glinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
