Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Third Theme (No. 736) by Burgoyne Diller. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,670.00 (€ 4,838.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Burgoyne Diller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 47, First Theme in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 185,993.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Third Theme (No. 736) von Burgoyne Diller zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 4.838,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Burgoyne Diller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 47, First Theme im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 185.993,11).
