Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Heathrow by Bryan Pearce was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,962.10). Admittedly, works by Bryan Pearce have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St. Ives (All Round) in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,941.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Heathrow von Bryan Pearce im September 2016 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.962,10) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bryan Pearce auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St. Ives (All Round) im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 63.941,37).
