Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Bryan de Grineau could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Election-night fever in the West End - Cheering a Conservative gain: Diners-out at a London restaurant following the fluctuating fortunes of the parties on an indicator-board changed hands for GBP 437.50 (€ 558.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bryan de Grineau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Spy Strangers: Churchill in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,692.78).

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Election-night fever in the West End - Cheering a Conservative gain: Diners-out at a London restaurant following the fluctuating fortunes of the parties on an indicator-board für GBP 437,50 (€ 558,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00.
