Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Edinburgh, looking towards Waverley Station with the Castle on the right: The proud and graceful city which frames a festival of music and drama (illustrated); and View of Holyrood Abbey: by Bryan de Grineau. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 798.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bryan de Grineau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I Spy Strangers: Churchill in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,692.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Edinburgh, looking towards Waverley Station with the Castle on the right: The proud and graceful city which frames a festival of music and drama (illustrated); and View of Holyrood Abbey: von Bryan de Grineau zur Versteigerung kam.
