Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II by Bryan de Grineau was sold in the 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 712.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Bryan de Grineau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I Spy Strangers: Churchill in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,692.78).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 712,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden.
