In March 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Grey Morning by Bruce Crane. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,696.58) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bruce Crane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work After the Rain in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 51,400.00 (€ 32,521.35).

Im März 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grey Morning von Bruce Crane zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.696,58) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bruce Crane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit After the Rain im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 32.521,35).
