Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Iroko by Brian Willsher for GBP 420.00 (€ 618.06). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brian Willsher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,766.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Iroko von Brian Willsher für GBP 420,00 (€ 618,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brian Willsher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.766,81).
