Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2001 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Nude and Interior by Brian Seidel. The price achieved of AUD 1,175.00 (€ 704.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Brian Seidel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer Figure Interior in November 2003 with an auction result of AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,670.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2001 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude and Interior von Brian Seidel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 1.175,00 (€ 704,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Brian Seidel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer Figure Interior im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.670,56).
