Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION, which included the work Landscape by Brian Seidel. The price achieved of AUD 657.25 (€ 404.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brian Seidel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Figure Interior in November 2003 with an auction result of AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,670.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Brian Seidel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 657,25 (€ 404,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brian Seidel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer Figure Interior im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.670,56).
