The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,695.70), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian J. Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Storming the Cowes Roads, 1930: Astra leading with Westward, Candida, Britannia and Lulworth behind, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,543.06).
