In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art auction, the work H.M.S. Britannia arriving at Tower Pier, with H.R.H. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh after their Commonwealth Tour, 1954 changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,197.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Brian J. Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Storming the Cowes Roads, 1930: Astra leading with Westward, Candida, Britannia and Lulworth behind in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,543.06).

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh after their Commonwealth Tour, 1954 für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.197,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Brian J.
