Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beyond the Horizon by Brian Fahlstrom was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,254.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Brian Fahlstrom have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Your Places For Me in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,116.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beyond the Horizon von Brian Fahlstrom wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.254,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Brian Fahlstrom auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Your Places For Me im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.116,50).
