Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aladdin Sane, 1973 by Brian Duffy was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,599.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Duffy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work David Bowie, "Aladdin Sane" (Eyes Open), which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 47,812.50 (€ 41,388.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Aladdin Sane, 1973 von Brian Duffy wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.599,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian Duffy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit David Bowie, "Aladdin Sane" (Eyes Open) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 47.812,50 (€ 41.388,94) versteigert wurde.
