This artwork by Brian Calvin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in May last year. In the Art contemporain - vente online auction, the work Still sun sold for EUR 5,292.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brian Calvin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California Freeform in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 127,616.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Brian Calvin erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art contemporain - vente online wurde die Arbeit Still sun für EUR 5.292,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brian Calvin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California Freeform im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 127.616,48).
