It achieved a price of USD 50,400.00 (€ 46,966.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Calvin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work California Freeform, which sold at auction in June 2021 for USD 151,200.00 (€ 127,616.48).

Die Arbeit Sinking (Standing Still) von Brian Calvin kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 46.966,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian Calvin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit California Freeform beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für USD 151.200,00 (€ 127.616,48) versteigert wurde.
