Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Untitled (15 Drawings) by Bob Law. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,313.84), 24% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bob Law - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 101,100.00 (€ 115,020.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (15 Drawings) von Bob Law zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.313,84) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bob Law mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69 beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 101.100,00 (€ 115.020,78) versteigert wurde.
