Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Not This Time by Bob Kuhn was sold in the The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection auction at Christies in New York in October 2020. It achieved a price of USD 212,500.00 (€ 182,450.42), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bob Kuhn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fire Storm, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 657,000.00 (€ 447,303.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Not This Time von Bob Kuhn wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 182.450,42) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Bob Kuhn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fire Storm beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 657.000,00 (€ 447.303,92) versteigert wurde.
