Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hit and Miss by Bob Kuhn was sold in the The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection auction at Christies in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 225,000.00 (€ 193,182.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bob Kuhn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fire Storm, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 657,000.00 (€ 447,303.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hit and Miss von Bob Kuhn wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 193.182,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Bob Kuhn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fire Storm beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 657.000,00 (€ 447.303,92) versteigert wurde.
