It achieved a price of USD 109,000.00 (€ 74,210.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Admittedly, works by Bob Kuhn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fire Storm in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 657,000.00 (€ 447,303.92).

Die Arbeit American Tiger von Bob Kuhn wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Sporting Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 109.000,00 (€ 74.210,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bob Kuhn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fire Storm im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 657.000,00 (€ 447.303,92).
