Auction result well in line with expectations
The work American Elephant by Bob Kuhn was sold in the Sporting Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,765.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bob Kuhn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fire Storm in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 657,000.00 (€ 447,303.92).

Die Arbeit American Elephant von Bob Kuhn wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Sporting Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.765,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bob Kuhn erzielen.
