Sold at the lower estimate price
In October this year Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Contemporary Art & Design, which included the work 'Yolanda, the Penguin of Bagdad' by Bjarne Melgaard. The result of SEK 125,000.00 (€ 10,586.20) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 125,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bjarne Melgaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Kill Me Before I Do It Myself" in May 2013 with an auction result of SEK 2,500,000.00 (€ 290,652.91).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Contemporary Art & Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Yolanda, the Penguin of Bagdad' von Bjarne Melgaard zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 125.000,00 (€ 10.586,20) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 125.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bjarne Melgaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Kill Me Before I Do It Myself" im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 2.500.000,00 (€ 290.652,91).
