Executed in 2001 - 2002. Installation with 5 sculptures in cold cast bronze. Height 122, 113, 100, 92 and 45 cm. 4 watercolours on paper 76 x 56 cm each, signed Melgaard and dated 2001. Boxes, plastic needles, string with glass bottle, jewellry etc.

A top price for Bjarne Melgaard - as previously expected
The work "Kill Me Before I Do It Myself" by Bjarne Melgaard was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2013. The result of SEK 2,500,000.00 (€ 290,652.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 2,500,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, "Kill Me Before I Do It Myself" is the most expensive artwork by Bjarne Melgaard that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit "Kill Me Before I Do It Myself" von Bjarne Melgaard kam im Mai 2013 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 2.500.000,00 (€ 290.652,91) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 2.500.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist "Kill Me Before I Do It Myself" das teuerste Kunstwerk von Bjarne Melgaard, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
