Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Bjarne Melgaard for USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,792.90). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | New York at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bjarne Melgaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Kill Me Before I Do It Myself" in May 2013 with an auction result of SEK 2,500,000.00 (€ 290,652.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Bjarne Melgaard für USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.792,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bjarne Melgaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Kill Me Before I Do It Myself" im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 2.500.000,00 (€ 290.652,91).
