In April 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Angels Trumpets by Birger Sandzén. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Birger Sandzén have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moonrise Among The Red Rocks in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 121,829.36).

Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angels Trumpets von Birger Sandzén zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Birger Sandzén auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moonrise Among The Red Rocks im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 121.829,36).
