Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Coast to Coast: Property from a Private Florida Collection, which included the work Lake In The Rockies by Birger Sandzén. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,479.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Birger Sandzén have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moonrise Among The Red Rocks in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 121,829.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Coast to Coast: Property from a Private Florida Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lake In The Rockies von Birger Sandzén zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.479,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Birger Sandzén auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moonrise Among The Red Rocks im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 121.829,36).
