Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Birger Sandzén could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the From Coast to Coast: Property from a Private Florida Collection auction, the work Landscape changed hands for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,356.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Birger Sandzén have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moonrise Among The Red Rocks in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 121,829.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Birger Sandzén konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion From Coast to Coast: Property from a Private Florida Collection wechselte die Arbeit Landscape für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.356,55) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Birger Sandzén auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moonrise Among The Red Rocks im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 121.829,36).
