This artwork by Birger Sandzén achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. In the Western Art auction, the work Riverbank with Cedars, Rocheport, MO sold for USD 137,812.50 (€ 116,790.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Birger Sandzén; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Moonrise Among The Red Rocks sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of USD 158,500.00 (€ 121,829.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Birger Sandzén erzielte im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Western Art wurde die Arbeit Riverbank with Cedars, Rocheport, MO für USD 137.812,50 (€ 116.790,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Birger Sandzén; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Moonrise Among The Red Rocks im November 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 121.829,36).
