In July 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Coast to Coast: Property from a Private Florida Collection, which included the work Rocks And Pines, Boulder, Colorado by Birger Sandzén. The »bidding war« ended at USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,083.06), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Birger Sandzén - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moonrise Among The Red Rocks, which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 158,500.00 (€ 121,829.36).

Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Coast to Coast: Property from a Private Florida Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rocks And Pines, Boulder, Colorado von Birger Sandzén zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.083,06) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Birger Sandzén mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moonrise Among The Red Rocks beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 158.500,00 (€ 121.829,36) versteigert wurde.
