It achieved a price of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,526.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bill Owens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suburbia, 1973 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 71,292.78).

Die Arbeit Selected Images from Suburbia von Bill Owens wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.526,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bill Owens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suburbia, 1973 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 71.292,78).
