Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bill Owens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Suburbia, 1973 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 71.292,78).
