It achieved a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 8,832.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Admittedly, works by Bill Owens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Suburbia, 1973 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 71,292.78).

Die Arbeit Selected Images From 'Suburbia' von Bill Owens kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 8.832,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bill Owens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Suburbia, 1973 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 71.292,78).
