Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled #6 by Bill Henson was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in December 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,748.28). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bill Henson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled 1987-88, which sold at auction in May 2005 for AUD 45,410.00 (€ 27,913.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled #6 von Bill Henson wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.748,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Bill Henson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled 1987-88 beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für AUD 45.410,00 (€ 27.913,78) versteigert wurde.
