Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Untitled, 1997/98 by Bill Henson. It changed hands for a price of AUD 23,985.00 (€ 15,606.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Bill Henson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2005 the work Untitled 1987-88 was auctioned for AUD 45,410.00 (€ 27,913.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, 1997/98 von Bill Henson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 23.985,00 (€ 15.606,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Bill Henson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2005 die Arbeit Untitled 1987-88 für AUD 45.410,00 (€ 27.913,78) versteigert.
