In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Flowers And Various Subjects by Bian Shoumin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 812,500.00 (€ 95,904.08), 63% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bian Shoumin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Album of Geese and Other Subjects sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 147,230.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers And Various Subjects von Bian Shoumin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 95.904,08) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bian Shoumin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Album of Geese and Other Subjects im Juni diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 147.230,77).
