Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Nu couché by Berthe Morisot. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,880.00 (€ 56,767.13), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berthe Morisot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme et enfant au balcon in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 4,085,000.00 (€ 4,780,965.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nu couché von Berthe Morisot zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 56.767,13) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berthe Morisot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme et enfant au balcon im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.085.000,00 (€ 4.780.965,81).
