A top price for Bernhard Buhmann - as previously expected
The work Buddy Holly by Bernhard Buhmann was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 11,340.00 (€ 11,591.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Buddy Holly is the most expensive artwork by Bernhard Buhmann that we have observed at auctions so far.
