This artwork by Bernard Sleigh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2018. In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Beatrice sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,818.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bernard Sleigh; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Sunset Angel sold at auction in September 2005 with the realized price of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,699.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Sleigh erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit Beatrice für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.818,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bernard Sleigh; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Sunset Angel im September 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.699,59).
