Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dutch a Happy Family by Bernard Pothast was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2010. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 11,250.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Pothast - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The new dress, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 25,850.00 (€ 44,254.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch a Happy Family von Bernard Pothast kam im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 11.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Pothast mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The new dress beobachtet, die im April 2000 für GBP 25.850,00 (€ 44.254,15) versteigert wurde.
